Bintan Traditional Fishing Tour

Observe fishing the traditional way; the techniques of the local fisherman

will amaze you! Enjoy a ride in a sampan on the calm waters of the Sebung

river and test your skills by throwing the “jala” or casting net. If all efforts

fail, your tour guide will ask you to fish with a “bubu” (boo-boo, traditional

fish trap).

These are traditional fish traps made from bamboo or wire to catch crabs and fishes. You can also find “Bento” here, but don’t mistake this for the Japanese lunch box. Your friendly guide will certainly teach you some techniques if you’re ready for it!
